Mount the TV so the middle of the screen sits near your eye level when seated, usually around 40 to 45 inches off the floor. Fix the bracket into the studs. We have hung TVs in Creve Coeur and St. Ann homes, often alongside shelves, mirrors and pictures.
1. How high should it go?
Sit where you usually watch and measure from the floor to your eyes. That is the target for the middle of the screen. Over a fireplace the TV ends up higher, so a tilting mount helps.
2. Studs, not drywall alone
Drywall won't hold a TV for long. The bracket goes into the studs, or into anchors made for the wall when the studs are in the wrong spot.
3. Cords and outlets
Decide where power and cables go before the bracket goes up. Tell us what you want when you book, so your Pro can plan the job.
4. Old mount holes
Moving the TV leaves holes from the old bracket. Your Pro can patch and paint them in the same visit.
Ready to get the TV on the wall?
